We’re a military family so health and safety is always top of mind. For me, my husband, and our child. But our schedule is pretty unpredictable, to say the least. We can’t wait 3 weeks to see the doctor. Or call the doctor’s office only to be put through some phone tree and then hold for over an hour. By then it’s too late, and we’re paying out of pocket at some crowded urgent care center.
I actually first met my direct primary care doctor before she opened her practice, when she was working at a traditional medical office. You can tell she naturally wanted to take her time, really get to know me. I always felt heard. But then the staff around her would usher in the next patient. She was a fish out of water. I was thrilled when I heard she started her own practice. I would follow her expert care anywhere.
Now, both my DPC doctor and I never feel rushed. I love knowing that I can contact her whenever or however is most convenient for me, the patient. Her attention to patients is beyond measure. She is, hands down, the best doctor I have ever had the pleasure of being in the care of. I trust her, and being cared for through her direct primary care has saved me a ton of hassle along with a lot of money.
Amanda is a wife and mother of a military family who is always on the go. She saw the night-and-day difference between a doctor practicing in the traditional system vs. the DPC model.
